(Mankato, MN) – Police say a naked and unwelcome man entered a Mankato home last weekend, frightening the homeowners and refusing to leave.

Joseph Michael Roosen, 19, has been charged in Blue Earth County Court with felony first-degree burglary and misdemeanor indecent exposure.

According to the criminal complaint, a woman called police early Saturday morning to report that a man she didn’t know was in her home.  Police arrived to find a naked Roosen lying on the couch with his penis exposed.  The woman told police she was upstairs sleeping when she heard a noise in the kitchen and went to investigate.

That’s when she saw Roosen in the living room, according to the complaint.  When she asked Roosen what he was doing, court documents say he removed his pants.

Court documents say the woman called 911 and woke up the other adult in the home, who asked Roosen several times to leave the home.  He told police Roosen laughed and said, “whatever, dude.”

Roosen told police he was at a home on Cottage Path, which was incorrect.  A portable breath test put his blood alcohol levels at .100.  Police say he was also carrying two identification cards that didn’t belong to him.

Roosen also faces charges of trespassing, underage liquor consumption, and possession of a fictitious driver’s license.
