(Mankato, MN) – An elderly woman and a teen were injured in a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highway 169 and Highway 68 Saturday afternoon.

According to reports from the Minnesota State Patrol, a Chrysler Town & Country was eastbound on Highway 68, while a Pontiac Grand Prix and a Jeep Cherokee were southbound on Highway 169.  All three vehicles collided at the intersection, according to the crash report.

The driver of the Chrysler, 92-year-old Maurine Margaret Johnson of Mankato, and the driver of the Pontiac, Rebekah Lynn Schmidt, 19, of Waconia, both suffered non-life threatening injuries in the crash.  Schmidt was hospitalized at Mayo Clinic Mankato.  Johnson was not transported.

Three others involved in the crash weren’t injured: Ashley Leivermann, 31, of Madelia, the driver of the Jeep; her passenger, 58-year-old Bruce Robert Leivermann, 58, of North Mankato, and a passenger in Johnson’s van, Marlene Mary Satre,85, of Winthrop.
