Three injured in Highway 14 crash

(Mankato, MN) – Three people were injured in a crash on Highway 14 Wednesday afternoon.

The state patrol says a Ford Focus driven by Talitha Syntyche Yargee Simpson, 43, of Mankato, attempted to cross Highway 14 at milepost 133 when the vehicle collided with a Ford Fiesta. The Fiesta, which was eastbound on Highway 14, was driven by Kjerstin Linnea Anderson, 19, of Owatonna.

Simpson and a passenger in her vehicle, Shameka Rashaun Simpson, 25, of North Mankato, suffered non-life threatening injuries and were hospitalized at Mayo Clinic Mankato.

Anderson also received non-life threatening injuries but didn’t receive medical treatment.
