Salvation Army’s MOMs program offers free food for kids over summer
(Mankato, MN) – The Salvation Army’s summer feeding program for children began yesterday, and Business Director Leslie Johnson said there’s room for plenty more.
The Mobile Outreach Meals program brings free meals to children in need throughout the community, making four stops around Mankato each weekday. The nutritious meals are provided through the Summer Food Service Program and are offered to all children without charges regardless of race, sex, age, or disability. Meals are provided on a first come, first serve basis. Adults can purchase meals for $4.25.
