‘Minnesota Girls Are Not for Sale’: Sex campaign snags 6 on prostitution charges
(St. Peter, MN) – Six people face prostitution charges stemming from a sting by several local law enforcement departments.
Charged with solicitation of prostitution in a public place were: Sara Beth Bauer, 29, of Faribault, Nicholas Brayden Moser, 24, of La Crescent, Derek Robert Morgan, 30, of Blooming Prairie, Julie Bierman, 55, of St. Louis Park, Nicholas Thomas Kay, 35, of St. Peter, and William Bernard Dunphy, 73, of St. Peter. The charge is a gross misdemeanor.
According to criminal complaints filed in Nicollet County Court in June, Bierman, Bauer, and Moser all advertised sex services via skipthegames.com. Undercover investigators arranged services and a meeting location at a hotel, where the suspects were later arrested.
The arrests and convictions were part of the “Minnesota girls are not for sale,” campaign, which has resulted in the arrest of 116 people in the area.
Joining forces on the investigation were the Nicollet County Sheriff’s office, Mankato Department of Public Safety, Minnesota River Valley Drug Task Force, and the New Ulm Police Department.
