Mankato mother arrested for child abuse

(Mankato, MN) – Police say a Mankato mother was arrested yesterday at a Rochester hospital abusing her toddler.

Mankato Public Safety responded on February 10th to an incident involving the 16-month-old at a local hospital.  An investigation found the injuries were caused by the child’s mother, who was identified as 27-year-old Chelsea Rae Olinger.

Olinger was arrested on charges of first-degree assault and is currently in custody at the Blue Earth County Jail.
