Local vets holding cannabis town hall Thursday

(Mankato, MN) – A group of Mankato-area veterans that are rallying to legalize marijuana will host a town hall this week.

Minnesota Veterans for Cannabis will facilitate a discussion at Loose Moose Saloon & Conference Center on Thursday, August 1st from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Founder Jeremy Sankey tells SMN the town hall will focus on the legalization for medical purposes.  But the discussion will also touch on recreational legalization, and how it intersects and affects the medical side.

A social hour will follow the event from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m.
