(Mankato, MN) – North Mankato’s annual Fun Days officially kicks off Wednesday, as the city also celebrates its 120th anniversary.

Festivities kick off with Family Night beginning at 6 p.m, and will include the annual carnival, bingo, and food concessions, The very first Miss Fun Days will also be coronated Wednesday night in a ceremony at Wheeler Park.  The winner will receive $500 in scholarships and act as North Mankato’s ambassador in future events.

The carnival will continue Thursday, with specially-priced wristbands in the evening, live music, and concessions.

On Friday, the special needs carnival will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m, bingo opens in the morning, and evening activities include a kiddie parade, celebrity horseshoe tournament, and live music.

The popular annual Fun Days parade will start at 11 a.m. Saturday morning.

Sunday is pancakes in the park, a car and motorcycle show, and petting zoo.

Fun Days will close out the festivities with fireworks at 10 p.m.
