Damage caused by two weekend fires
(Mankato, MN) – Mankato Public Safety responded to two separate fires over the weekend that caused damages
At 4:37 a.m. Saturday, crews were dispatched to a carport fire at 603 South Fourth Street. Flames were spreading to the house, which was vacant. The fire was extinguished. Damages were estimated at $60,000.
At 5:48 a.m. the same morning, Public Safety responded to a fire at 205 Lincoln Street. Crews contained the fire to the breezeway of the house and it was extinguished. There were no injuries. Damages were estimated at $15,000.
Causes for both fires are under investigation.
